Snowy Start to Spring

The weather forecast called for blizzard like conditions for western Oklahoma this weekend! Crazy considering all last week was spent in the mid to high 70s! Well, it wasn't a blizzard, but we did receive about 2-3 inches of snow! So early Saturday morning we bundled up all of our kids and off we went to play in the snow! Chloe and Caity had a blast making snow angels and a small snowman! We all had so much fun I have to share these pics with you!

Getting the eyes and nose on the snowman!

Caity having fun with the snowman!

Chloe adding her final touches!

I guess Chloe would rather eat the carrot than give Mr Snowman a nose!

Baby Brother, Jack got to enjoy his very first snow too!

WE had so much fun welcoming spring time with a blast of winter weather! It really got all of us ready for some heat! Bring on the swimming pool!!!

Before I go I want to share a pic of Chloe and Caity's first snow, Nov 2006!

I have another post coming soon, you won't want to miss it.............

Chloe's broken Collar Bone and Baby brother is 11 weeks!

Chloe broke her right collar bone on Saturday night while spending the night with my dad. Jeff and I were about half way through our meal at Applebee's when we got the call that Chloe was hurt! I was scared to death, but she was a trooper! On the way to the ER she was only afraid of getting a shot! She was on my Dad's coffee table and fell backwards on her head-neck. The ER did a CT Scan and everything looked normal, but a chest X-ray confirmed a broken clavicle. WE went to the Orthopedic Surgeon on Mon and he said she will not need surgery and should be completely healed in 3 weeks! If you could see her now, you wouldn't even know she has a broken bone! (and FYI codeine hypes kids up......BIG TIME!) Here is a pic I took Sunday night after she got out of the bath....Poor Baby!

Jack was 11 weeks old yesterday! This kid is huge! He is smiling sooo big and belly laughing now! Last night we were having tummy time before his bath and he ROLLED OVER from his belly to his back! Seriously.....he's only 11 weeks! This kid is like an Ox......he is soooooo strong! Here is a picture of him sitting up like a big boy in his sisters' recliner!

He is such a cutie....dontcha think?

~Baby Brother is 2 Months~

Jack is now 2 months old! He is the best baby EVER! I'm so proud of him! He has truly completed our family, and I could not be more blessed! We went to the Dr for his 2 month check up and he got 3 shots :( weighed 13 lbs and was 24 inches long! Whew....this boy is growing, make it stop! I want him to stay a baby forever! Some things Jack is doing at 2 months are:

  • Sleeping through the night

  • laying on his belly and raising his head for almost 1 minute

  • fully breastfeeding

  • smiles the biggest smiles @ momma, daddy, sisters and grandparents

  • chuckling when he hears me laugh

  • cooing...the sweetest sound EVER!

  • loves his swing

  • loves his sisters to sing to him

  • bats at objects that are put in front of his face

  • only poops every 3 days! (how luck am I?)

  • has the bluest eyes....i hope they stay this color

  • only fusses when he want to be picked up

  • sucks on his hand when hungry

  • sleeps in my bedroom at light, but naps during the day in his crib

  • Loves to sit in his bumbo and watch me cook dinner

  • looks just like his Daddy

  • Also known around our house as "Baby Love"

Introducing Jackson James

Jackson James completed our family Jan. 7, 2009 at 7:53am; weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and 20 inches long! He was twice the weight of his oldest sister, Chloe, and 5 inches longer! He is a chunk! Everything about this baby is perfect! He breastfeeds like a champ, sleeps through all the girls daily endeavors, has the sweetest face and really makes me a happier person all around! I feel so calm around him, nothing like when the girls were born...I worried about their every breath! Not this perfectly healthy baby boy, I am so blessed! Before he was born I worried about how the girls would take it and how I would possibly love him like I love his sisters! It is so true what other Mothers say....your love just grows instantly!
Jack is three weeks old now and I am enjoying every minute! Our whole family adjusted nicely to his arrival. It is somewhat surreal when you know this will be your last baby, I'm try to take every last moment in! I want to hold him while he sleeps, always kiss him "one more time" before I put him down, look into his eyes every second they are open. I really feel like I appreciate this age so much more now! It has also made me appreciate the girls so much more! Sometimes I can get caught up in everyday life and forget about the little things that really matter! I just want to be the best Mother to these Children I can possible be. God really has blessed me life abundantly and I am so thankful!
Last weekend we went to the Red Barn Photography studio and had Jack's newborn pics taken. Let me take minute to tell everyone how wonderful Candice is at photography! She is so creative and comes up with the best shots and is the most affordable photographer around. She really loves what she does and it shows in her work! With the newborn photo shoot she gives you an adorable gift that you can really use! I don't see myself using any other photographer for a long time! If you have a newborn, are pregnant, or want pics taken of you kiddos....call her, I promise you won't be disappointed! Her web page is http://www.redbarndesign.net/!
Okay back to the subject....Jack's newborn pics, they are wonderful! So without any further ado.....

How sweet is he????? He has perfect eyes, mouth, ears, nose, etc.....everything about this child is perfect! Really, I'm not being biased!
Here are some other pics of Jack with me:

Don't forget to check out the blog entry before this one...Caity and Chloe turn 3!!!! It has their 3 yr pics posted! They are adorable! Thanks for checking in with us and we also want to thank all our family who came to visit after Jackson was born! We really enjoyed everyone's company and appreciate all that you do for our family! We love all of you!

Caitlyn and Chloe turn 3!!!

On Jan. 14 my twin girls turned 3 years old! They are growing up so fast and becoming quite the little ladies! I'm so proud of the big sister role they just fell into since the home coming of baby Jack! They are the most perfect "big sisters" he could have; they love him, kiss him, and always are very careful around him! I can honestly say the terrible twos ended when the baby was born!

I had 3 year pics taken the same day as Jack's newborn photo shoot! They did better during this photo shoot than any other in the past! I am so proud of them...they had so much fun and you can tell in all the pictures! There is no way to decide which pose to choose, so Candice will put them all in a collection for me to hang on the wall! Here are their 3 year pics by Red Barn Photography, Candice May-Thurmond!

These are my most favorite Pics the girls have taken yet! I love all the colors in the tutu's ( I made them) and the green frog rain boots are from Mamaw and Papaw for Christmas! The ladies at church gave them the caterpillars for their birthday and they tell inspirational christian stories, the girls love them! I am so thankful for all the positive influences in the girls' lives! We are so lucky to be around family and friends that care about our family so much! The girls have had so much attention over the past 3 years that we were afraid the new baby would take some of that attention away! Everyone has been great making them still feel as special as the day they were born! We are so blessed!

Caitlyn Grace and Chloe Elizabeth,

Mommy and Daddy want you two to know how much you mean to us! From the moment you two were born three years ago our lives changed forever! You two are the reason for our being and really brought a purpose to our lives! How dull our lives were before you were born, I can't even imagine one day without your smiling faces and contagious laughs! The past three years have been gift from God and I can't wait to share in many more memories as the years go by! We are so proud of the big sisters you two have become, Jack is so lucky to have you two in his life and we are so lucky to be your parents! We love you to the moon and back and will always be here for you no matter what life throws your way! Thank you sweet twincesses just for being you!

Love,

Mommy and Daddy

Evicition Day for Baby Jack

Yep, you heard it right...Jack has been served his eviction papers and is demanded to vacate his current premises as of 7:30am January 7, 2009! I know he is very warm and comfy, but dang it, it is time for us to meet the little man!
Even though this has seemed to be the longest pregnancy EVER and I am the biggest pregnant woman EVER (everyone who passes me tells me so)! And I'll be glad to not have to answer the question..."Is it twins again?" I really have enjoyed this pregnancy and I am trying to take in every last moment, because I will not ever have another child! This little boy will complete our family!
So, here are the plans to keep everyone up to date on our Baby Jack's birthday! I go in the hospital at 6:00am get prepped for surgery, and enter the OR around 7:30am. I am the first surgery scheduled for that day, so If all goes accordingly We should have a baby around 7:45am. I plan on sending out a mass text message to let everyone know the stats, since I don't plan on answering the phone much tomorrow! If I don't have your cell number and you want to be in the list send it to me! My email is jillowenby@sbcglobal.net so send it on over! If you aren't text message savvy, you can always call Jeff, my Dad, Grandma, etc! I can't wait to get back on here and post pics of our newest addition! Please pray for a safe delivery and Healthy Baby!
I will end this with the last of my maternity pics by Red Barn Design, photography by Candice May-Thurmond!
Until next time........

Still No Baby Jack

Christmas has come and gone and Santa didn't bring baby brother, like my 3 year olds asked! Try explaining that one! :) I just told them Jesus decides when it's time for baby brother to join our family! Mommy is not done growing him yet!
We did have a wonderful Christmas though! It's the first year the girls actually get the concept of Jesus' Birthday and Santa Claus! It was so much fun playing Santa, well Jeff mainly built the "toy" Santa brought the girls! They got a HUGE swing set! one of those wooden ones that took poor Jeff AKA "Santa" a week to build! But oh was it worth seeing their faces on Christmas morning! It didn't matter it was 5 degrees below freezing that morning, we stayed outside nearly all day long sliding and swing our little hearts out!!!! I knew they should open all their other gifts before we showed them the swing set. We opened all their gifts first, then they read the note Santa left next to the empty plate our cookies once were, it said "Look outside for the gift I brought you!" It was great!!!! I feel so blessed to have such polite, gracious children! They sang Happy Birthday to Jesus all weekend long and thanked him so much for all the gifts! Every person who gave them a gift got a very quick thank you before ripping the paper from the present! I was filled with such pride and joy watching these little girls have the time of their lives! Oh how I wish I was 3 again!
Here are a few pics from Christmas! Enjoy:

My C-Section is scheduled for Jan 7, 2009! I will keep you updated!
Until next time.......
